jewel anemonesA Dive Around Sark

On February 17th local underwater photographer Sue Daly will be inviting us all to join her on an underwater tour around Sark and, best of all, the audience will stay warm and dry. From the shallow, sunlit kelp forests to the depths of the out lying reefs, Sark's home to a wealth of colourful and fascinating marine life. Gem-like anemones cluster on the sheer rock faces and corals reach out to feed in the surging currents. Fish shimmer by in all manner of shape and size and hundreds of smaller creatures thrive on the reefs and shingle banks in between. Last summer Sue took advantage of the great weather and made over a hundred dives with her underwater camera. She will be sharing the results to reveal the incredible diversity of life in the seas around our island. Highlights include new images from the Gouliot Caves and a surprising view of life beneath the waves in Maseline Harbour. The talk begins at 5.30pm at La Sociéte Sercquaise.
